Project: Planet Chess
Overview:
Planet Chess is an adventurous picture book written by chess grandmaster Vesna Mišanović and illustrated by Nina Mašina. Designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of chess through puzzles and storytelling, the book merges logic, creativity, and imagination—making it ideal for young thinkers. DistroLogic is currently managing its publishing and marketplace integration as part of a multi-book collaboration.

Problem:
Although the book was complete with exceptional content and illustration—recognized at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair—the creators needed a U.S.-based partner to handle publishing logistics and expand access through mainstream retail platforms, starting with Walmart.

Approach:
DistroLogic is overseeing the full publishing lifecycle of Planet Chess, including layout finalization, metadata development, and onboarding to Walmart Marketplace. Our team is also working closely with the creators to prepare three additional children's titles for publication—ensuring consistency across production, branding, and multi-title strategy.

Experience:
Planet Chess is in the final stages of publishing and will soon be available to U.S. readers through Walmart. The project showcases DistroLogic’s ability to support international creators with culturally rich, educational content—while laying the foundation for a growing catalog of imaginative, globally-minded children’s books.
