Project: Brownie Harris: Photography Retrospective 1970–2020
Overview:
Celebrated photographer Brownie Harris partnered with DistroLogic to publish a visually rich, large-format retrospective spanning five decades of portrait and editorial photography. The project required high-end production and broad distribution to reach art enthusiasts, collectors, and institutional buyers.
Problem:
The author had a curated archive of images and a compelling narrative but needed a publishing partner to handle complex image layouts, large-format printing specifications, and coordinated distribution across retail and specialty channels.
Approach:
DistroLogic provided full-spectrum Book Publishing & Distribution services, including high-resolution image processing, custom interior design, and production oversight. We managed print-on-demand and offset printing options to meet various fulfillment needs. The book was distributed globally Walmart and independent bookseller channels, with metadata optimization and category placement to improve discoverability.
Experience:
The finished product is a premium-quality hardcover now available through multiple global channels. With our publishing infrastructure in place, the author benefits from centralized inventory management, print flexibility, and a platform for supporting book event activations in galleries, library societies, and museums.
